Nick Kelly Joins Logistical Data Services as General Manager
Logistical Data Services (LDS) announces the appointment of Nick Kelly as General Manager. Kelly brings more than 20 years of railroad operations experience with Union Pacific Railroad, where he developed extensive expertise in safety management, operational efficiency, and customer service excellence.
Kelly began his career as a Train Dispatcher, where he managed the safe and efficient movement of trains across the network. In 2008, he was selected for Union Pacific’s Field Management Training Program, subsequently serving as Operations Manager in Council Bluffs, Kansas City, Herington, and Topeka.
Since 2011, Kelly served as Manager of Shipment Quality, where he collaborated with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to prevent in-transit damage, investigate product loss, manage derailment response, and implement enhanced shipment handling protocols across the system. His leadership of the Careful Car Handling program contributed significantly to improved safety performance and operational reliability network-wide.
Kelly will leverage his operational expertise and customer-centric approach to advance LDS's mission of delivering innovative, reliable logistics solutions to the transportation industry.
